The Amazing Goodness of Blueberries

Yesterday, we have come to realize on how essential blueberries to our health and how yummy they are as a blueberry cheesecake. Anyway, to add more in my previous topic blueberries are pack of nutritional benefits such as vitamins, minerals and some antioxidants. Yeah! I already mention this before but to be more specific blueberries also contain small amounts of B vitamins such as folates, niacin, panthothenic acid and pyridoxine which help our body metabolize carbohydrates, fats and proteins. B vitamins are truly essential to good health and also having this nutrients can help lower the risk of heart disease and certain cancer. Moreover, blueberries are also great source of copper, iron, manganese, potassium and zinc which benefits the body in many different ways. Copper is necessary in the production of erythrocytes also known as red blood cells while iron is needed for red blood cell formation. Manganese is very important in the manufacture of the superoxide dismutase (SOD). SOD is an antioxidant enzyme which repair cells and lessen the damage done to them by superoxide, the most common free radical in the body. Potassium helps controlling the blood pressure and heart rate. Zinc is also an essential mineral not only available in dietary supplement but it is naturally present in blueberries. Zinc plays a role in immune function and wound healing.

Knowing all the good things and amazing facts on blueberries I think I don't need to elaborate more about it since even I myself was convinced that this wild berry is truly amazing and essential.
